My return to lifting is mainly marked by my girlfriend and I noticing how fast my shoulder, arms and chest are shrinking. In the past I was able to lift 225 as my 6 rep max and now I am probably around 185 pounds. That’s funny since that is about where my weight is fluctuating right now. I plan to drop that down to 180 by this weekend. I figure pumping up my running routine and adding in a healthy dose of weights, I should be able to drop about 4 to 5 pounds a week.

My plan today will be 20 minutes of hard cardio, a 5 minute rest, 15 minutes of calisthenics, a 5 minute rest and then 20-30 minutes of heavy as I can go lifting. I took some no-xplode earlier and I am feeling it now. Here’s to not puking!

Today is also my one year anniversary with my gf. A quick recap: I moved from NC to TX in February of this year after meeting her. She is an amazing talented and intelligent woman. She’s kind of changed how I feel about women in general. There might be some hope out there for them (lol this is totally a joke). In all honesty, she is totally my soul mate. I’ve said that before about a girl a long time ago, but in retrospect, she was a good candidate, but she isn’t crud in comparison.

Um, other than that, I’ve been playing a lot of Final Fantasy Tactics on my PSP and leveling a warrior tank in expectations of the new wow expansion. I think I have about 90 hours logged on FFT. It’s kind of embarrassing, but that game takes a long time to play, and sometimes I put all my guys on auto-battle and go clean the house or something like that. So, not all of those hours are really “played” hours. On wow… oh man, I don’t want to think how much I have played that game. Ouuu, I also picked up castlevania HD for xbox live. It’s flipping awesome. The only drawback is that I get removed from groups often because my character doesn’t have the gear to do “hard modes” on levels. If I do get into a group, I feel like I am carried along for the ride and loot lol.

Hmmm… I guess the only other news is that my lizard, hideki, is growing quite nicely. He is a big sucker now. I am pretty sure he will max out in size in the next 6 months. I tend to let him out of his cage for about an hour at a time now. I think that is helping him grow and stay in shape. He likes to run and play… it sounds weird, but he will follow me around sometimes until I crawl after him. Then he will climb things, run full speed and leap off of them. I really wish I had some video of this.

Anyway, I guess that is it. I don’t imagine anyone will read this one, but whatever.

The DJ list includes: Tritonal, Andy Moor, Gareth Emery, Kaskade, Benny Benassi, Mstrkrft, Moby, Rusko and many more. It kicks off at 6pm and keeps going till 2am followed by an after party with Tritonal later. I am going to party out of my mind!!!!

I also made a macro for my opener. #showtooltop icy touch /use 13 /use 14 /cast icy touch. That way I go in with my buffs and plow through stuff. If you have an opener spell as any class, I would suggest a version of this macro to use.

I hope to be level 71 tonight and level 74 or 75 by the weekend. I will keep you updated.

During that time frame, I got back into Aion and dragged a friend in with me. After a few weeks of solid grinding and 15 levels later I gave up on the grind. I then took about two weeks off from most games. I played crisis core and got WTFpwned by the final boss. So now I am grinding levels via questing. After a week of that, I went back to WOW. Yep. Couldn’t help myself I guess. I have a level 69 death knight. He should be 72-74 by the end of the week. I really enjoy playing him too.

A little about him… I am leveling him frost dw dps spec.It normally isn’t the best leveling spec, but I love DW spec. I can’t get enough of just mindlessly bashing people over the face with 2 weapons. What’s funny about that is I dislike warrior TG DW Fury spec. I just think it is boring. With the DK i have a very interesting rotation between spells and melee abilities. I normally run into a mob weapons and spells blazing. My rotation is simple : IT, PS, HB, BS, BS, DC, DC. I will add in RS and other spells during my weaving rotations, but that is the basic 1 on 1 tactic. When tanking it depends on the pull. If they are seperated I will open with DnD and if they are close I will open with HB and go through a aoe rotation.

I am 5′6″ and I am a decently in shape male, but I am overweight. By that I mean, I can run faster and longer than most people my age. I can lift more than most people I know, and I am generally healthy. I just need to lose this guy I put on a few years ago.

My new plan is intense, just like it was when I worked out with Bryan everyday in 2006 (when I was in great shape). My routine is a work in progress, but I plan to base it loosly off of the 300 workout routine.

The 300 workout looks something like this:
• Pullups – 25 reps
• Deadlifts with 135lbs – 50 reps
• Pushups – 50 reps
• 24-inch Box jumps – 50 reps
• Floor wipers – 50 reps
• Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell – 50 reps
• Pullups – 25 reps

It’s a rough workout, and very tough to finish. I think I am good enough shape to do this thing again. Now, this won’t be my Monday – Friday routine at all. My routine will look like this:
Monday – Cardio (20-30 minutes), Chest Routine, Back Routine & abs
Tuesday – Cardio (20 minutes), Biceps, Triceps & abs
Wednesday – Cardio (45 minutes slow pace), Shoulders, forearms, upper back & abs
Thursday – Cardio (2-3 mile jog out doors), legs & abs
Friday – Cardio (20 minutes), all over body routine (300 or something else)
Saturday – Light gym day and sauna (15- 20 minutes)
Sunday – rest

Seems like a bit much, and it is. I need an intense work out if I am going to reach my goal weight by my birthday (May 31st). I need to lose like 15 pounds, but I will settle for 10.

My play now is to play some old rpgs I never beat and spend more time in the gym.

Right now we are ramping up for ICSC, which is a Real Estate convention in Las Vegas on May 23-25. We are one of the leading vendors there and lots of eyes will be on our booths and properties. I am anxious and a bit worried about all the printed materials I have going out. I created the large pillars, large format image boards, brochures, flyers and that’s just a small amount of my recent work activity. It’s been a mess here and there, but I feel like things are coming along now. I mean, I double, tripple and quadrouple check everything I do recently. It’s crazy, but I am so anxious about letting any mistake slip out there for this event.

I know, May 23rd seems like a long time away, but I only have 10 business days until our truck comes to take all of our materials away. That means I will be working some overtime in a few days to do printing and QA on everything.

In the mean time, I will be holding my sanity together by working out, playing video games and spending time with my woman.
